Minding my own business in a gas station bathroom, I see this message on the wall in front of me. Of course I had to pull out my camera and snap a picture before I left.
Not only did I chuckle because of the reference to “Finding Nemo”, where Dory the fish sings “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming” to encourage herself and her new friend Marlin the clownfish to keep pursuing their quest to find Marlin’s son Nemo, but I also smiled because I was in the middle of a rough day filled with a task I really wasn’t thrilled about doing and this reminded me to “just keep swimming” and move through one step at a time.
God sends encouragement to our lives in so many ways, even through graffiti in a gas station bathroom.
It doesn’t always arrive how you think it should, but it’s there if you look for it.
Isaiah 43:2 (NIV) says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
God sees you today where you’re at. And He is with you in any and every circumstance. We just have to keep swimming, keep putting one step in front of the other, and move forward.
Blessings,
~Lynne
