Blink. Blink.
The cursor blinks.
I stare at the page and struggle to make a connection,
To write about anything at all.
So I’ll start with a verse:
Today, I encountered this verse in Isaiah 42: “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you” (v.9, NIV).
I’ve written before about this season I find myself in.
A season where everything feels possible and yet it’s still a desert.
A season of waiting.
The former things have taken place already, yes.
Now I wait for the new things to be declared
For the new things to spring into being
It’s taking awhile.
Which I know… healing takes time.
It’s not instant
And I have seen progress in my life.
Still.
To sit and wait can be disheartening.
This verse reminds me that God not only has kept His word in the past, but will do so again and bring new things to pass.
In HIS time.
Not mine.
He will declare new things in my life when the time is right.
My job is to pay attention,
To sit with Him, listen, watch, and wait.
Friend, if you find yourself in a similar season, it’s okay
Be patient
Give yourself grace
And know this:
God WILL declare new things over your life, and they WILL come to pass.
Wait for His perfect time
And watch it unfold.
Blessings,
~Lynne
