This week I’m participating in an online writer’s sanctuary! I’m already behind because it has coincided with the week that school starts and life has been crazy. But I’m enjoying the challenge of the prompts and writing them from the perspective of the main character that I’m creating for my next book (!!).
That being said, I haven’t really had much of a chance to think of something for this post. I’m not quite ready to drop hints about my next book (!!) but I am excited to use the writing sanctuary prompts to daydream about different angles of it. I also enlisted the help of a fellow teacher at work and he’s giving me homework assignments to work on character development. Between that and keeping up with my boys, it’s been a busy week!
Tomorrow is our first day of school. I’m excited to start another year and get students back in the building. The summer reset has helped get me ready for the coming school year and I’m excited to dive back in and hopefully get to work on some projects!
Ready or not, we’re rolling on to the next season! I have a fresh notebook that I’ve been working in, I’ve stocked up on coffee, and I’m as ready as I’m going to be.
As the next chapter opens, here is a blessing for all of us:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NIV
Blessings,
~Lynne
