Wednesday Word: With Gratitude

•

This week in the US we pause to remember all the blessings we have in our lives.

They are often too numerous to count, but the point shouldn’t be remembering EVERY SINGLE ONE and feeling stressed if we’ve missed something. Our blessings are meant to point our focus back to the One who provides for us in every season of our lives.

I am thankful for my family, my friends, a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and warm clothes on my back.

I am also thankful for the difficult curve balls 2025 has thrown my way, because they have made small things like a random rainbow on a random Wednesday afternoon when I just happened to glance out the window mean even more (header photo).

Psalm 9:1 (NIV) says, “I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds.”

To know Christ is to have a blessing in your life. To tell others of what He has done for you blesses not only the hearer but also you as the speaker. So I hope as this Thanksgiving day closes that you have not kept your blessings to yourself.

There is still blessing in the midst of the struggle. You may have to look a little harder to see it, but it’s there.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear readers. I am thankful for you coming along on this journey with me each week (though I missed last week, with apologies!) and being a part of this small corner of my life. May you continue to be blessed, and to bless others through sharing your blessings in Christ.

With love and gratitude,

~Lynne
